Job summary

Rocking Chair Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented front desk professional to provide courteous, professional service to guests. You will check guests in and out, post charges, handle wake-up calls, and communicate guest needs to housekeeping and management.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to stand for extended periods, with weekend and holiday availability. Prior hotel or customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all front desk standards of service.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
• Post guest charges and compute guest bill and collect payment.
• Handle guest mail/packages and communicate with guests about receipt of items.
• Be knowledgeable of rewards program and promotions.
• Develop knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, rates, and area.
• Block rooms and handle special requests.
• Monitor room availability and assist with check-in logic.
• Handle safe deposits and balance cash throughout shifts.
• Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information.
