Job summary

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) is seeking a Desk Clerk - Swing at 78 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. The role is full-time, on-site, graveyard shift (11 PM–7 AM) reporting to the General Manager and supported by the Property Management department.

Responsibilities include screening visitors, maintaining safety, and providing administrative tasks such as mail and invoices. Must be able to work with a diverse resident population and have strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to follow directions and work independently.
• Willingness to be on-call with phone access.
• Good judgment and conflict resolution skills.
• Sensitive to a diverse, multi-cultural low-income population.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen all visitors to confirm they are authorized guests of residents.
• Ensure visitors are escorted by tenants at all times.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain complete and confidential Building Log.
• Fill out incident reports as necessary.
• Report violations of House Rules and Rental Agreements.
• Participate in required trainings for the job and company-wide.
• Oversee front entry and lobby cleanliness and security; perform minor janitorial duties.
• Provide administrative support: mail, invoices, check requests, recertifications, filing.
• Answer phones and operate intercom system as needed.
• Provide information to tenants, visitors, and applicants concerning Housing.
• Other duties as assigned.
