Job summary

Holiday Inn Express San Marcos is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and coordinate reservations with accuracy.

You will assist guests with information on local attractions, handle inquiries, and collaborate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness for a smooth, hospitable stay.

The role requires strong communication, a guest-first mindset, and flexibility to cover shifts, including late hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills; experience with Hotel Key PMS is a plus.
• Flexible schedule and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and departure.
• Process check-ins and check-outs accurately using Hotel Key PMS.
• Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
• Handle phone calls, emails, and other guest communications.
• Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness.
• Uphold brand standards and ensure a clean, organized front desk area.
• Assist with administrative tasks and reporting as needed.
