Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Forklift Operator to support its warehouse operations. The role focuses on moving goods, stocking, and maintaining accurate location data while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Candidates should have basic warehouse experience, the ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and be capable of lifting up to 90 pounds. The position offers shift hours Tue–Fri evenings with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; capable of lifting up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks and sets pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Counts incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front and removes outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Inspects pallets for damage and moves pallets to proper storage area.
• Follows safety policies and ensures the work area is safe.
• Performs safety checks on equipment and prepares for operations.
• Puts on required PPE and completes the shift end paperwork.
