Forward Air Corporation is seeking a Forklift Operator in Indianapolis to safely load, unload, and move freight within a multimodal terminal and warehouse environment. You will assist with documentation, scanning, and orderly dock operations, ensuring accuracy and freight integrity.

The role emphasizes mentorship of newer Material Handlers, adherence to OSHA and PPE standards, and maintaining a clean, safe dock area while handling routine duties and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required or ability to obtain before operating.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to learn basic computer systems and handheld scanners.

Responsabilidades

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight using handheld devices and company systems.
