Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Float Team to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role covers MedSurg, Telemetry, and Ortho Neuro Progressive Care Units, nights, with a 7pm–7:30am schedule and every third weekend.

Minimally, a High School Diploma or GED is required; BLS for Healthcare Provider is required within 60 days of hire. CNA is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or higher education proof.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required within 60 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
• Computer literate; familiarity with information systems preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Document patient care and data in appropriate systems.
• Perform vital signs, aseptic technique, simple procedures.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges as assigned.
• Observe patients and report changes promptly.
