Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating patient-centered care and working with interdisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes. The RN will educate patients and families and maintain nursing standards. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, competitive pay ranging from $34.00 to $49.18 per hour, with a full-time schedule of 72 hours every two weeks.

Candidates must hold a current Michigan RN license and BLS certification. Preferred experience includes specialty certification and at least 2 years of nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse graduate from an accredited program.
• Hold a current Michigan RN license by the end of orientation.
• BLS certification needs to be current, or completed within 60 days.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the provision and coordination of patient-centered care. The RN coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching, and leads by delegating and working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education and teach self-care techniques.
• Delegate and supervise nursing support personnel.
• Maintain nursing standards, policies, and procedures to promote patient safety.
• Adhere to the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978 and related regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current Michigan RN License (or completed by the end of orientation).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire).

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Certification in a specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc.).
• Recent hospital or prior nursing practice experience.
• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in the desired specialty area.
• Experience with electronic patient documentation systems.
• Familiarity with technology common to the specialty area (e.g., cardiac monitors, IV pumps).
• Language fluency in a second language (bilingual).

Certifications Required by Specialty

• ACLS certification for ICU/TU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency, PACU, Surgery Center, Endoscopy, Spine/Orthopedics, Float Pool (or completed within one year of hire).
• PALS certification for Emergency, 5 West, PACU, Surgery Center (or completed within one year of hire).
• NRP certification for Birth Center (or completed within one year of hire).
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) required.

Benefits and Compensation

$5,000 Sign‑on Bonus (requires 1 year of employment in the same department and on the same shift). Pay Range: $34.00 - $49.18 per hour. Employment Type: Full Time, 72 hours every 2 weeks. Schedule: Weekday shifts are self‑scheduled; weekend shifts assigned every third weekend. Rotating 6‑week day and night shift schedule: Days 7:00AM – 7:30PM, Nights 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including every third weekend.
