CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline, overlooking Corpus Christi Bay, seeks an experienced nurse for Medsurg, Telemetry and Intermediate Care. The role involves independent practice, following patient treatment plans, and supporting clinical contingencies while delegating as appropriate to care teams.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, leadership of self and others, and adherence to nursing standards. Work schedule is from 7 PM to 7 AM in a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medsurg/Telemetry and Intermediate Care experience.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; RN license in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; assesses learning needs and resources.
• Adheres to ANA scope and standards; uses nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care; maintains compliance with regulations.
