• RN license in state of employment or compact; BLS and ACLS required; PALS at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Educates patients, families and care givers; identifies issues and resources.
• Maintains patient safety and quality of care; adheres to ethics and regulations.
• Delegates tasks to other care team members as appropriate.
