Job summary

RRD is seeking a detail-oriented Flexographic Prep & Ink Technician in De Pere, WI to lead ink formulations, plate mounting, and roller preparation for press teams. This role minimizes makeready downtime, maintains print quality, and drives manufacturing efficiency in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

The position is a 3rd shift role (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) with rotating Saturdays, offering comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and tuition

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial tooling, machinery, or complex mechanical setups.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Excellent color matching and viscosity testing skills.
• Strong organization and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Clear oral and written communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Mount and align flexographic printing plates for accurate register.
• Prepare, clean, and inspect anilox rollers.
• Mount gears and hardware onto cylinders and rollers.
• Use anilox scopes to measure cell volume for quality control.
• Manage inventory of molded plates to prevent delays.
• Coordinate shipping of worn cylinders for reconditioning.
• Assist press operators to streamline setup procedures.
