Job summary

RRD is seeking a detail-oriented Flexographic Prep & Ink Technician in a 3rd shift role (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Mon–Fri; rotating Saturdays) in De Pere, WI. You will stage, prepare materials, formulate ink, mount plates, and prep rollers to minimize makeready and maximize press efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with flexographic printing and plate mounting.
• Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints.
• Strong color matching and viscosity testing capability.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and work on concrete floors.

Responsibilities

• Mount flexographic plates onto cylinders with precision.
• Clean and inspect anilox rollers before/after runs.
• Mount gears and hardware onto plate cylinders and rollers.
• Use anilox scopes to measure cell volume and assess roller condition.
• Maintain inventory of molded plates and order replacements.
• Coordinate shipping of worn cylinders/rollers for reconditioning.
• Receive and distribute inks to press lines; assist setup.
• Collaborate with press operators to optimize workflows.
