Job summary

Emerus seeks an ER Technician to provide technical assistance and patient care across assigned areas of a small-format emergency hospital. You will collect vitals, run basic lab tests, assist with procedures, and help maintain patient safety and privacy in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires High School Diploma or GED and current BLS; EMT-related credentials are favored across markets with additional opportunities for ACLS/PALS. Travel to facility locations is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; several pathways accepted.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS often required depending on market.
• PALS preferred in many markets.
• English fluency required; strong communication essential.
• Various state-specific clearances may be required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vitals and measurements.
• Collect lab samples and perform lab testing per policies and COLA/CLIA regs.
• Assist with patient activities and care as per the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment and proper aseptic technique.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations; travel to locations as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

3+ years CNA with hospital experience (Wisconsin market only)

3+ years Certified Anesthesia Tech / OR Tech (Wisconsin market only)
