Job summary

Stryker Group is seeking a manufacturing/teardown technician for 3rd shift (Mon–Fri 10:00PM–6:30AM) with weekend coverage as needed. You will lead safety, 6S and equipment upgrades, while collaborating with engineering and operations to implement tooling and new processes.

You will document results, train staff, and support production with troubleshooting and validation activities across PLC-controlled systems and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5+ years in manufacturing, controls, maintenance or engineering tech.
• Experience troubleshooting automated equipment and PLC systems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound technical decisions.
• Experience with uptime, preventive maintenance and production reliability.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Python, SQL or Minitab.
• Prior welding, fabrication or industrial manufacturing experience.
• Experience in off-shift, overnight, or weekend manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Document safety and lead 6S concerns in the area and plant-wide production.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to specify and implement upgrades and new equipment.
• Document project results with in-depth analysis and communicate to team leaders.
• Work with vendors on tooling and process improvements for existing or new applications.
• Specify tooling for new or existing processes and guide orders and sustainment.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to design and plan new technology on the floor.
• Train employees on fabrication processes and inspect/test results as needed.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance on equipment tooling and PLC-controlled systems.
• Assist in validation activities including reviews, equipment qualifications and process validations.
