Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of EMT-B TX or EMT-P curriculum per TX state.
• State EMT registration and current BLS certification required.
• EMT experience levels range from I to IV as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs, venipuncture, IV skills and bedside testing.
• Provides emergency first aid and responds to medical emergencies.
• Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Notifies nurse of abnormal findings or changes in patient status.
• Accesses and navigates Epic; performs clerical duties as needed.
