Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (P4) on night shift. You will assess and plan patient care, coordinate with the care team, and support discharge planning for cardiology patients at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 3 months, NIHSS within 90 days, and unit orientation within 90 days. Evening and night hours apply in a bustling Level I trauma center environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or higher degree in nursing.
• Current Texas RN license or reciprocity within 90 days.
• RN levels correspond to years of experience (RN I–IV).
• Current BLS certification maintained.
• ACLS within 3 months of hire; NIHSS within 90 days; EMTALA applicable training.
• Unit-specific orientation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, implement and assist to provide quality patient care for assigned patients.
• Monitor patient condition; record vital signs and intervene as needed.
• Perform data collection from patients and histories; ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate on treatment plans and discharge planning with patient and family involvement.
• Deliver education and discharge planning using the nursing process.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Education

Nursing Diploma or higher degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
