Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking an Emergency Department Tech I-IV to support patient care in a fast-paced ED. Responsibilities include vital signs, ECG monitoring, venipuncture/IV tasks, and assisting with treatments under licensed staff.

Certification in CMA or EMT and BLS-CPR are required, with orientation within 90 days. The position is full-time, based at Fort Worth’s JPS Patient Care Pavilion, with day schedules and shift adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited medical training program (e.g. EMT-B/I, EMT-P, CMA).
• Current CMA or EMT registration.
• Current JPS recognized BLS– CPR Certification and must be maintained.
• Must have current licensure, certification, or registration relative to the discipline.
• Complete Area Specific Competency Based Orientation within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, I/O's, weights, basic ECG monitoring, venipuncture/IV skills.
• Provides emergency first aid treatment.
• Responds to medical emergencies.
• Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Notifies nurse of abnormal findings or changes in patient status.
