Qualifications

• Ability to perform data collection, discharge planning, and education using the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, implement and provide quality patient care for assigned patients.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and report symptoms as needed.
• Collect patient data and collaborate on treatment goals and discharge planning.
• Document care, orders, and charges accurately in medical records and systems.
• Deliver care with a multidisciplinary team and maintain infection prevention.
• Coordinate transfers and EMTALA-compliant patient movement as applicable.
• Perform department-specific tasks and adapt to change as needed.

Education

Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing

Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or reciprocity within 90 days

BLS certification (required throughout employment)

ACLS within 3 months of hire, NIHSS within 90 days

Experience levels per RN role (RN I – IV ranges)
