Job summary

Englewood Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) on a full-time Night shift in Englewood, NJ. The role involves rendering emergency medical care, operating EMS vehicles, and maintaining equipment between calls.

Responsibilities include radio communication with dispatch, restocking after calls, and ensuring compliance with medical control procedures. Requires NJ/NY/PA or National Registry EMT and BLS certification, with a minimum of two years BLS experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current NJ/NY/PA or National Registry EMT.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Hazmat awareness and ICS 200/300, NIMS 700/800 training.
• Two years of full-time BLS experience.
• One year experience within the Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all operational systems of the EMS department.
• Render emergency medical care based on signs, symptoms or complaints.
• Manage vehicles, supplies and equipment during assigned shift; communicate via radio.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment; correct discrepancies promptly.
• Follow medical control procedures and transport patients with devices.
• Assist in patient movement and transportation; clean and restock after calls.
• Ensure all run sheets are complete and AED batteries are charged.
• Perform daily walk-around maintenance; follow department policies.
