Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ, invites qualified EMTs to join our Emergency Medical Services as a full-time BLS ambulance crew on a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7am). The role focuses on rendering emergency medical care before hospital admission and during patient transport, while maintaining the EMS operation and equipment.

Candidates must hold current EMS credentials (NJ/NY/PA or National Registry), AHA BLS, and related certifications.

Competenze

• Minimum of High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• EVOC or equivalent driving certification.
• Knowledge of ICS structure and how to apply in various situations.
• Knowledge of NJAC Statutes 8:40 and 8:41.
• Current EMT license (NJ/NY/PA or National Registry).
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Valid automobile license with clean driving record.
• Hazmat awareness training within the last 12 months.
• CEVO training within 3 years.
• WMD Awareness and Operations per ICS/NIMS.
• Hazardous Material Awareness and ICS 200/300, NIMS 700/800.
• Two years of full-time BLS experience.
• One year experience within Englewood Health Medical Center.
• Must possess BCLS instructorship within 1 year of appointment.

Mansioni

• Renders emergency medical care to sick, disabled or injured individuals based on signs, symptoms or complaints.
• Maintains all operational systems of the Emergency Medical Services Department.
• Manages vehicles, supplies and equipment, and communicates with dispatch via two-way radio.
• Ensures in-service vehicles and equipment are checked and discrepancies corrected promptly.
• Follows procedures set forth by medical control.
• Assists in patient transport using movement devices.
• Participates in cleaning, restocking and disinfecting after each call.
• Completes daily walk-around maintenance and all run sheets with required information.
• Ensures ambulance is cleaned and restocked after each run; checks AED batteries.
• Performs other duties as assigned by EMS management and MICU Director.
• Demonstrates awareness of policies and applies them to clinical and management decisions.
