Job summary

CSU Veterinary Health seeks an overnight Client Care Coordinator for the Emergency and Critical Care Services at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. You will be the first reassuring face for clients, guiding them through urgent care with compassion and clarity.

Responsibilities include triaging emergencies, scheduling in the EMR, coordinating with clinicians, handling financial estimates and consent, and supporting discharge while maintaining compassionate client service.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
• Ability to work a full-time overnight schedule onsite, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Experience with veterinary scheduling systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and referring veterinarians, responding to inquiries and managing communications.
• Coordinate and manage patient access to care, scheduling appointments, preparing estimates and consent forms, and maintaining daily schedules.
• Facilitate client education and emotional support during difficult situations, including grief and euthanasia protocols.
• Administer and maintain medical record and referral workflows, and communicate patient status updates to referring providers.
• Lead veterinary student onboarding and service orientation, including pre-rotation materials and training on client communication.
