Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CENA certification or enrollment in a health science program preferred.
• Equivalent health-science experience may be considered.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality preferred.
• Able to meet unit-specific core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data and records vital signs accurately.
• Monitors ECG and supports cardiac monitoring as directed.
• Obtains lab specimens and assists with processing.
• Assists with hygiene, mobility, and positioning of patients.
• Documents care and observations in the hospital system.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to universal precautions.
• Trains with ED Clinical Secretary as needed.
