Job summary

Verland Foundation Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide Exceptional Care in our community homes. This part-time role includes evening shifts (3pm–11pm) on Saturdays at Pococen House in Moon Township, PA.

DSPs support residents with complex needs, assist with daily living activities, and document progress as part of a committed care team. New hires receive two weeks of paid training, with a comprehensive benefits package after 30 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a full Background, Physical, and Drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
