Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for the Cleveland, TN area. You will manage drivers, freight, and routes to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries during the 10:00 PM–6:00 AM shift, Monday–Friday.

The role emphasizes dispatch, load planning, and enforcing DOT regulations, with collaboration with shop technicians and customers. Requires 1–2 years in dispatch or fleet supervision, and TMS (TMW) experience with strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years dispatch or fleet supervision experience in trucking/transportation.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), specifically TMW.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules.
• Strong verbal and written communication with professional phone etiquette.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing operational demands and multitask.
• Excellent problem-solving under time-sensitive constraints.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and track drivers and freight to guarantee on-time pickup and delivery.
• Confirm load assignments and ensure operational and safety procedures are upheld.
• Monitor and balance tractor/trailer pools across accounts.
• Coordinate with on-site shop technicians to expedite maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Act as the primary contact for customer accounts via phone and email.
• Deliver daily reports, communicate transit updates, and lead route check-ins.
• Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic logs (ELD) for DOT compliance.
• Review inbound trip paperwork, bills of lading, and delivery receipts promptly.
