Job summary

NRS, Inc. in North Bergen, NJ, is hiring a Dispatcher for a 3rd shift (11 PM–9 AM). You will coordinate freight, vehicles, and driver availability to optimize deliveries while ensuring DOT compliance and maintaining essential regulatory documentation.

You will supervise drivers, review routes, and enter orders in AS400. Strong organization, communication, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Two years of dispatching experience in logistics/transportation.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven supervisory skills to lead and motivate drivers.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage drivers to meet performance standards.
• Monitor driver activities and provide coaching as needed.
• Evaluate and motivate driver performance with clear benchmarks.
• Review and approve pre-planned routes for efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate labor plans with terminal manager to meet customer needs.
• Communicate daily assignments and expectations to drivers.
• Enter orders into AS400 and manage equipment assignments.
• Ensure timely start/end times and update platforms daily.
