Job summary

McLane is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator in Kentucky to handle driver dispatch operations within the Transportation Department. You will prepare records, manage schedules, and ensure DOT compliance while coordinating with drivers and customers.

The role offers a strong benefits package and a third-shift schedule. Candidates should have a High School Diploma, familiarity with PeopleSoft, and experience in Windows, Excel, Word, and Access.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft for driver/ helper scheduling and records.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, Word and Access is preferred.
• Two years in a similar dispatch role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily records and memos and maintain Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports filing system.
• Assemble and update dispatch schedules for drivers daily.
• Understand DOT hours of service and ensure driver compliance.
• Assign daily tractor/trailer runs and verify vehicle roadworthiness.
• Call customers to inform them of delays or variances in delivery times.
• Produce timely reports to supervisor and coordinate with stakeholders.
