McLane Company is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to manage driver dispatch operations within the Transportation Department. You will prepare records, schedules, and reports, ensuring compliance with DOT hours and safety regulations.

The role requires strong map-reading, communication, and distribution systems knowledge, with experience in PeopleSoft and MS Office. The position emphasizes reliability, adaptability, and safety in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft for driver scheduling and records.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, Word, and Access preferred.
• 2 years in a similar dispatch role is preferred.
• Able to read maps and understand distribution systems.
• Ability to communicate with varied levels and adapt methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily records and memos; maintain filing system for driver inspection reports.
• Process transportation pouches, manifests, invoices, and driver keys.
• Develop and update daily driver and helper dispatch schedules.
• Understand and ensure DOT hours of service compliance.
• Assign tractors/trailers for drivers daily.
• Verify roadworthiness and maintain vehicle records.
• Call customers to inform variances in delivery times.
• Expedite driver manifests and provide timely reports.
