Job summary

CoreSite, LLC in is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician II for the night shift to support operations in a Tier 2 role. You’ll handle security, mechanical and electrical systems, and customer interactions while working in a 24x7 environment.

You will gain hands-on experience with cabling, CCTV, alarms, and facility equipment, ensuring SLA commitments are met and safety standards are followed on site.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cabling media types.
• Understanding of 568A/568B color codes.
• Familiar with CCTV and access/control security systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 mission-critical environment.
• Ability to write concise, accurate reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage building service requests through resolution.
• Perform and complete work orders and tickets promptly.
• Remote Hands Management
• Work Order Completion Process
• Mine cables without disrupting existing cabling.
• Support internal/customer infrastructure projects.
• Overhead installations, cage and cabinet build-outs.
• Rack and stack, cable termination and testing.
• Utilize CMMS and follow established procedures.
• Assist with asset/inventory management and labeling.
• Ensure SLA timelines and data uploads to internal systems.
• Monitor facilities systems and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Provide day-to-day exceptional customer service and support.
• Conduct security tours and report issues.
• Notify customers/teams of alarms and breaches.
• Support loading dock shipping/receiving.
• Help prevent unplanned outages and escalate as needed.
