Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II for the night shift in Reston, VA. You will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability across our data centers.

The role emphasizes incident response, CMMS work orders, and collaboration with technicians, vendors, and customers. You’ll lead by example, provide guidance to teammates, and help document procedures while upholding safety standards and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance; utilize CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance.
