Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a Data Center operation in Texas. The role operates on a night shift with a rotating 12-hour schedule: 3 days one week, 4 days the next week.

You will inspect mechanical and electrical systems, monitor BMS alarms, collaborate with vendors, and ensure safe, compliant operations while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on data center systems.
• Monitor and respond to Building Management System alarms.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes.
• Record maintenance activities and prepare clear reports.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow safety procedures.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utility sources.
• Support on-call rotations as needed.
