Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Nights Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities.

You will perform front-line electrical and mechanical work, monitor building systems, and support commissioning and change management across AWS data centers during night shifts. The role emphasizes 24/7 reliability, safety compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with potential travel to multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on electrical and mechanical systems within critical facilities.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Ability to work night shifts and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS; troubleshoot facility and rack-level events.
• Execute rack installs/decommissions within SLA; conduct PM and root-cause analyses.
• Prepare technical documentation to support change management.
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors; ensure work meets procedures and local requirements.
• Support multiple sites as needed and adapt to varying site schedules.
