Job summary

University of Rochester in Rochester, NY is seeking a CT Technologist for the night shift. You will perform CT exams, verify orders, maintain imaging quality, and participate in safety and quality control. Requires NYS licensure, ARRT CT, and BLS; weekend premium applies.

The role involves operating multiple CT scanners and PACS/RIS systems, with a focus on patient care, documentation, and collaboration within Imaging Sciences. Shift includes Fri–Sun nights with a weekend premium.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT CT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with CE credits as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams by following and verifying referring provider orders and remaining in compliance with the Imaging Sciences department and governing bodies.
• Identify patient service requirements and educate patients/families regarding procedures.
• Prepare patient for radiological/CT procedures by positioning and adjusting immobilization devices; ensure image quality.
• Maintain safety practices (ALARA) and perform equipment quality control measurements.
• Train or lead day-to-day activities when needed and ensure documentation and records are accurate.
