Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Licensed Radiologic Technologist to perform CT exams under direct supervision and to ensure imaging quality and patient safety. This full-time position is located at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY, 14642.

The successful candidate will hold NYS licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification with CE credits, and will work within the Imaging Sciences-CT department to deliver compliant, high-quality CT imaging services.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – current NYS licensure upon hire required and ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient service requirements.
• Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Prepares patient for radiologic/CT procedures by positioning patient and adjusting equipment.
• Performs procedures by following and verifying provider's orders.
• Produces high quality images and prepares them for interpretation.
• Maintains accurate documentation.
• Maintains safety standards and ALARA principles.
• May train new employees or lead day-to-day activities.
