Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking a CT Technologist for the inpatient imaging team at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. You will perform CT exams under supervision, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging, including IV access, contrast administration, pregnancy tests, and documentation.

This full-time, 40-hour weekly day-shift role requires NYS licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and ARRT certification with CE credits.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NYS licensure and ARRT certification required.
• Ability to follow orders, maintain safety, and deliver high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient service requirements and educates patients regarding procedures.
• Positions patients, adjusts equipment, and sets exposure factors for CT exams.
• Injects IV contrast, starts IVs, and administers oral contrast.
• Maintains accurate documentation and prepares images for interpretation.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and safety policies.
• May train new staff or lead day-to-day activities as needed.
