Allegheny Health Network is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform radiographic imaging independently, ensuring image quality and patient safety. The role requires ARRT RT or NMTCB CNMT certification at hire and CT certification within 18 months of starting.

A strong emphasis is on patient education and procedural accuracy. Responsibilities include preparing and administering contrast when ordered, operating imaging equipment safely, and reporting results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience is acceptable.
• ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography or NMTCB registered (CNMT) is required at time of hire.
• CT certification is required within 18 months of hire or must be maintained if already certified.

Responsabilités

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently with appropriate judgment.
• Educate patient about procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure cooperation.
• Prepare contrast media/medications when ordered and monitor patient condition.
• Select exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensure safety and perform QC on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform other duties as assigned.
