Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Natrona Heights, PA seeks a Radiology Tech to perform radiographic imaging independently, assess results, and ensure patient safety. The role includes patient education, contrast administration, and equipment QC.

A two‑year degree or equivalent, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and CPR are required, with CT certification targeted within 18 months. This position carries a $30,000 sign-on bonus with a three‑year commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
• ARRT Registered (RT) or NMTCB registered (CNMT) required at time of hire.
• Within 18 months of hire, obtain CT certification or maintain CT certification.
• CPR certification by American Heart Association.
• Criminal background clearances as required (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting).

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently and analyze results.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, ensure safety standards, perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
