Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Charlotte is seeking a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a busy, team-oriented practice in Charlotte, NC. You will work with physicians and APPs across inpatient/outpatient settings, offering autonomous decision-making and collaboration in a high-volume program.

The role features nocturnist 12-hour shifts, a 7 on/7 off schedule, and travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina.
• NCCPA certification required for Physician Assistants.
• Acute Care NP Certification required.
• Cardiology/cardiothoracic or vascular surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer, and consult with supervising physician.
• Maintain clinical and professional competency for relevant patient ages and needs.
• Work independently with strong decision-making and clear communication with MDs, APPs, and staff.
• No OR responsibilities, but possible exposure to OR settings.
• Night shift: 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off; 84 hours per pay period; weekends/holidays required.
