Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services in Massachusetts seeks an Emergency Triage Coordinator to support the Emergency Service Team with crisis referrals and triage, 24/7. You will work with Master’s Level Clinicians, Family Partners, and Peers to ensure timely access to care.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Psychology, at least one year in a crisis mental health setting, and proficiency with the Avatar EMR system and coordination with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in a mental health setting working in a crisis intervention setting.
• Has working knowledge of the ESP services systems.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with outside agencies including hospitals, police, schools and insurance providers.
• Skills to maintain professional and therapeutic communication with agitated or distressed clients.
• Understand and serve culturally diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Triage phone calls and provide support and counseling to clients, families, and community referrals in need of ESP assistance and/or evaluations.
• Assist clinicians in performing bed searches for clients awaiting placement for a higher level of care.
• Navigate Avatar EMR for referrals, updating records, scans, alerts, and dispositions.
• Provide information and referrals to phone contacts.
• Gather risk information and direct clients and families to supports.
• Consult with Director or Assistant Director on high risk cases and conflict resolution.
• Assist in scheduling follow-up emergency services appointments and related paperwork.
