Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services in Massachusetts seeks an Emergency Triage Coordinator to ensure the smooth delivery of crisis services. You triage calls and route to Master’s Level Clinicians, Family Partners, and Peers based on risk, immediacy, location, and insurance requirements, in collaboration with ESP management to sustain high-quality care.

The schedule is 36 hours per week with overnight shifts (Thu–Sat 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and a $3/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a mental health crisis setting.
• Knowledge of ESP services systems and processes.
• Ability to collaborate with external hospitals, police, schools, and insurers.
• Strong professional communication with distressed clients.
• Cultural competence and strong ethics in practice.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and provide counseling to clients, families, and referrals.
• Assist clinicians in locating placements for higher care levels.
• Navigate Avatar EMR to update and manage referrals.
• Provide information and referrals to phone contacts.
• Gather risk information and direct clients to supports.
• Consult with Director on high-risk cases.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and complete triage paperwork.
