Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Duncan, SC, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist for night shift to set up and operate multiple machine tools in a low-volume, high-mix shop. You will ensure safety and quality, following ISO/TS, IRIS, AAR and CMMI standards.

Requirements include 5+ years CNC experience, GD&T/blueprint reading, and ability to edit CNC programs. Proficiency with FANUC controls, Renishaw probing, CMM, and basic rigging is expected. Benefits begin day one.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology (MTT) or equivalent; HS diploma/GED accepted with significant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years CNC experience.
• Basic shop math including trig and Pythagorean theorem.
• Able to interpret and edit CNC programs.
• Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methods.
• Basic rigging, crane operation, and hoist inspection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up machine tools within standard route time.
• Operate multiple machine tools concurrently.
• Achieve productivity >90% based on product cycle time.
• Navigate FANUC controls and verify conformance via wear/geometry pages.
• Troubleshoot to keep production running.
• Use Renishaw probing and simple functions.
• Set up and operate CMM and inspect to blueprints.
• Document First Article Inspection (FAI) and enter SPC data.
• Support continuous improvement activities (SMED, Kaizen).
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
