Job summary

Standard Locknut, LLC is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator for the night shift in our Production department. The role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes and related equipment to produce high-quality parts while meeting safety and efficiency standards.

You will read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and make precise machine adjustments. A strong math background and English proficiency are essential, with CNC programming experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Proficiency with decimals, fractions, geometry, and basic math.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong reading, writing, and English language skills.
• Experience with CNC programming and operating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and auxiliary equipment to produce quality parts.
• Make minor edits to CNC programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Read blueprints and job instructions to meet specifications.
• Program mills and lathes with precise coordinates, offsets, and tool data.
• Monitor specifications during operations (drilling, grooving, turning, threading).
• Troubleshoot performance issues and adjust or reprogram controls as needed.
• Maintain and sharpen tools; replace worn components to uphold quality.
• Participate in continuous improvement and team problem-solving initiatives.
• Assist with prototype development or process optimization.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and orderly in line with POWER values.
