Job summary

The Neighborhood of Somerset is seeking part-time CNAs to join our team. CNAs report to the Director of Nursing and work night shifts Mon-Fri with every other weekend required.

Responsibilities include direct resident care, following PSPs, documenting meals and activities, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in memory care and assisted living areas. Prior CNA experience with elders is preferred, and must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred and may be required by the state.
• SC State CNA Licensure is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects of the CNA position.

Responsibilities

• Participates in resident care planning and updates; attends service plan review meetings with families as requested.
• Follow the hydration schedule established for residents during the shift.
• Complete resident meal attendance sheets and arrange room service if needed.
• Know and comply with all resident rights.
• Initiate and assist with activities as appropriate.
• Check residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence issues, and changes in condition.
• Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Check assigned rooms daily for cleanliness and safety; escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with laundry areas and common spaces, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage of chemicals.
• Complete all ADLs for assigned residents per PSP.
