Job summary

Phoenix Senior Living in Somerset, KY is seeking part-time CNA night shifts to join our Memory Care and Assisted Living neighborhoods. The CNA provides hands-on care, supports residents and families, and follows personalized service plans while maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

The role requires delivering high-quality care, complying with state and federal regulations, and being available weekends with some evenings.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred and may be required by the state.
• SC State CNA Licensure is preferred/required as stated.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform personal care aspects of the CNA position.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of the Personalized Service Plans and updates; attends service plan review meetings with families as requested.
• Follows the hydration schedule established for the residents and ensures hydration during the shift.
• Completes resident meal attendance sheets and coordinates room service or dining out of dining room as needed.
• Knows and complies with all resident rights.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Checks residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence, and condition changes.
• Uses proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Inspects assigned resident rooms daily for cleanliness and safety; double-checks high-risk rooms.
• Assists with laundry rooms and common areas; ensures safe handling of chemicals.
• Completes all ADLs for residents per their PSP.
• Responds promptly to security system and resident call bells; takes appropriate action.
