Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for the 4th floor Med/Surg unit. This full-time night shift includes rotating weekends/holidays and a sign-on bonus for licensed CNA/LNA.

You will assist with ADLs, vital signs, glucose checks, and post-operative care, document patient data, and support nursing staff while leveraging Banner's EMR system and patient care protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification and CNA license in state of practice.
• 1 year medical clerical, hospital or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record vitals, input/output, and specimens; document data.
• Notify licensed staff of patient condition changes and maintain continuity of care.
• Support procedures under supervision; may include blood draws and EKGs.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Maintain patient records and ensure chart forms are filed.
• Manage supplies and assist with ordering; track equipment.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with focus on patient care.
