Job summary

Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Neuro-Trauma PCU unit. The role involves delivering routine patient care, data collection, and active participation in care plans within a high acuity Neuro/Trauma setting.

This full-time night shift position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus for licensed CNA/LNA, a rotating weekend/holiday schedule, and opportunities for career development through Banner's Career Pathways program.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification is required.
Current CNA in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.
1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills; working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
ECG/EEG interpretation with minimum 85% may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the overall plan of care.
Collect patient data including vital signs, input/output, and other measurements; document in EMR.
Recognize and report abnormalities to a licensed professional.
Perform procedures and use equipment under supervision; assist with blood draws and EKG monitoring as delegated.
Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
Maintain complete patient records and ensure chart forms are accessible.
Maintain supplies and assist with ordering and equipment tracking.
May transport patients and assist with OR turnover as needed.
Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
