Job summary
Prime Healthcare St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for nights to lead the Medical Surgical unit. You will oversee staff, coordinate care, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes.
The role requires a valid state RN license, a BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, and 2 years of clinical nursing experience with 1 year in supervision. Full-time with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions.
- Develops and implements departmental plans and performance improvement activities.
- Oversees orientation and training of personnel.
- Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
- Ensures quality of staff and functions during shift.
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates personnel.
- Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
- Assess and direct changes in the plan of care.
