Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year as staff nurse in acute care ED setting preferred.
• TNCC and CEN certifications preferred within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for Emergency Services department and collaborate with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during the shift.
• Assist the Department Director in daily operations, directing, supervising and evaluating staff.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and adjust care plans as required.
