Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne seeks a Registered Nurse to lead the Cardiac Tele 5A unit during night shifts. This full-time role is 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) with new pay rates for 2026 and a welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

The RN Charge oversees nursing operations on the unit during scheduled nights, delegates tasks, supervises staff, and coordinates care with physicians and other clinical teams while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Indiana or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and support staff during shifts.
• Evaluates staff performance with feedback.
• Oversees patient care plans and adjustments.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensures safe practice and infection control compliance.
• Responds to emergencies and leads unit during events.
