Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN license in the state of Indiana or compact state license.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Shift: days 7a-7p; Full time: .9 FTE (36 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions and discharge plans.
• Maintains infection control standards and charts care appropriately.
• Performs and documents care in the medical record.
