Job summary

Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Tele 5A unit. This 36-hour/week night shift role offers new pay rates for 2026 and welcome bonus eligibility up to $35,000.

You will provide patient-centered cardiac care on a 24-bed unit, collaborate with a supportive team, and participate in evidence-based practice. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, administer meds, educate patients, and contribute to safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN license in good standing required.
• Experience with telemetry and cardiac care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and document in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to develop and update care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe patient environments.
• Operate and monitor telemetry equipment to track heart rhythms and vitals.
• Maintain regular attendance and uphold quality improvement initiatives.
