Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Night RN Resource Nurse for a Stepdown unit to provide advanced bedside care to high-acuity patients and support team members with complex cases. The role also involves serving as a clinical resource on the night shift.

You will collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, perform thorough assessments, monitor telemetry, administer IV medications, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri.
• Experience in step-down or similar high-acuity units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Administer IV medications and manage rapid responses to patient status changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Mentor newer staff and support a safe staffing plan.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow and safe, efficient unit operations.
